I prefer to sit. by the simply cause that i can look way far back to see the incoming set and read the wave and maybe have the need to paddle out for not beeing on a set too much inside. but i‘m always prepared the way i learned from Ruben. Sitting sideways parallel to the waves. And sitting well positioned so i only can lay down and start paddling without correcting my position. And beeing a bit sideways of the peak i have enough time for reading, laying down and triangulating (oh boy, i trained that with Ruben endlessly. its so stucked in my brain 🙂
