The place we have chosen for this Longboard coaching trip in ASTURIAS (Spain), more specifically in Salinas Beach, is the surf school “El Pez Escorpión”.
Salinas beach in Asturias, has more than 3 kilometers of golden sand with multiple peaks depending on the season in which you are. We are lovers of small waves and Salinas at this time of year is ideal for this.

These Longboard Caoching Days are for you whether you are polishing your pop-up technique or if you are trying to become fluent in the cross-step, since the first part totally determines the “walking” on the board, and doing it correctly will invite you automatically to take your first steps on the longboard safely.
During the “Longboard Coaching Days”, besides this, we´ll work on your paddling, your positioning and your reading of the Sea, what will help you to catch a lot more waves per session, essential to spend more time on the board, and thus, improving faster (and of course… Having more fun!).
Our recommendation to prepare for the trip or continue to learn afterwards: use the Longboard Academy to train your body and mind and get the most out of this experience.
What are the Salinas longboard coaching days about?
A group of 8 Longboarders of beginner / Intermediate level, will live together for 3 nights and 4 days of surfing, in the surf school and Beach Hostel El Pez Escorpión in Salinas (ASTURIAS), one of the most spectacular beaches of the Cantabrian coast to practice Longboard. We will do specific Classical Longboard lessons, theories, on land practice and video analysis. Accommodation, breakfasts and dinners will be included, in a house in front of the beach with direct access to the beach.
The Salinas beach has emblematic peaks that are very different from each other. The Balneario/Pyramid area, on the left side of the beach, is a place protected from the NW wind, and also from the swell, an ideal place for beginner surfers. El Espartal / Gauzones is the central area of the beach, with variable peaks and the most swell-prone area, ideal for more experienced surfers. The area of San Juan, to the right of the beach, and adjacent to the breakwater that separates the estuary, has right and left peaks, highly recommended for beginner surfers or, as in our case, classic LONGBOARDERS.

* It is recommended to be a member of a surfing federation, especially if your federation has an accident insurance for any beach in Spain. It is advisable to have this type of insurance whenever you practice surfing, even more so when you travel.
THESE COACHING DAYS DO NOT INCLUDE ACCIDENT INSURANCE.
and what if i don´t have longboard?
If you don’t have a board or prefer not to bring it, you can rent your longboard for 140€ for the 4 days of the event.
*The payment will be done in cash at arrival.
accommodation and meals: full board
For these intensive teaching days, we will stay in the fantastic facilities of the Surf School and Surf Camp El Pez Escorpión.
Breakfasts, lunches, dinners and accommodation (3 nights) are included in the total price of the coaching days, so that your only “concern” when you come is to make the most of these 4 days.
*In the case of having any intolerance or specific preference related to the meals, please let us know and the kitchen team will prepare what you need.

- We recommend being federated in surfing (this includes accident insurance in any beach in Spain).
- If you’re not federated, we strongly advise arranging your own accident insurance.

You can confirm your spot by paying the reservation fee of 200€ (this amount will only be refunded in case the organization cancels the event). The remaining 490€ will be paid in cash upon arrival at the location, (as well as the longboard rental fee if it is your case).
