Welcome to the ELEMENT Longboard Coaching week April 2026 — five days of surfing, learning, and community on the beaches of Oyambre and Merón, one of the most special longboard destinations in Spain, where longboarding can be enjoyed in its purest form.
Why San Vicente de la Barquera?
Oyambre Beach and Merón Beach, located within the Oyambre Natural Park, are considered by many European longboarders to be among the best spots in the country for longboarding, thanks to:
- Long, soft, and consistent waves — perfect for smooth progression
- Sandy bottoms ideal for beginner and intermediate surfers
- A wide, natural, and protected environment that provides comfort and safety
- A national surf reserve with clean, high-quality conditions for most of the year

These “Longboard coaching Days” are for you if:
- you’re beginning to feel comfortable on your longboard
- you want to refine your basic technique
- you want to progress in classic maneuvers and board control,
- or you want to build confidence in long, mellow waves.
what is the longboard coaching week in San Vicente about?
Over 5 days, you’ll be part of an exclusive group of 8 longboarders of similar level, in an experience designed to help you progress both in and out of the water at the ELEMENTSURF longboard and surf school.
The program includes:
- Longboard-specific surf sessions
- Technical theory sessions
- Land practice
- Video analysis of your sessions
A close, well-designed experience focused on your real progression as a surfer.

Longboard rental for the 5 days costs €150.
*The payment will be done in cash at arrival.

In this coaching trip we have decided to give you total freedom to choose your own accommodation, so you also have the option to stay in your own van. San Vicente de la Barquera has a wide range of accommodations, here are some of our recommendations:

Investment
Total: 790 €
Deposit: 200 €
The 200 € deposit is refundable only if the organization cancels the Camp, or if you cancel at least 30 days before the start date.
The remaining 590 € must be paid in cash upon arrival, along with the longboard rental if needed.
Insurance
- We recommend having a surf federation membership, which includes accident insurance valid on any beach in Spain.
- If you’re not federated, we advise taking out private accident insurance.
- Accident insurance is not included in the Coaching week.
